English

2.1 Google AdMob —

2.2 Google Play

2.3 Google Play —

com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID광고 ID 접근 (AdMob)
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS안드로이드 광고 서비스(Privacy Sandbox) — AdMob 이 요구
com.android.vending.BILLING맵 구매 (Google Play 결제)
kr.co.shaile.boillang.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION앱 안에서만 쓰는 내부 권한 — 안드로이드 라이브러리(AndroidX)가 자동으로 선언하며, 다른 앱은 쓸 수 없습니다

Now You See It (“the app”; 보일랑말랑 in Korean) is a puzzle where you find a 3D picture hidden in a pattern and pick it from four choices. Each picture is made on your phone from its puzzle number. This document states plainly what information the app handles.

1. Information the developer receives — none

Your records, the pictures you make and your name for the ranking are never sent to the developer, and the developer receives and keeps no personal information. The Google ad SDK, Play Billing and Play update feature inside the app do handle the information described in section 2.

  • There is no sign-up and no account
  • The app runs no server of its own. The ranking currently shows only the records on this phone
  • It never asks for your email, phone number, address, contacts or location

1.1 Making pictures

  • The text you type, the figure you pick or the picture you draw with your finger in “Create” is turned into a 3D picture on your phone. It is never uploaded, and the app does not keep it.
  • When you send it with “Send picture” or “Send as a quiz”, it goes to the app you choose.

1.2 What stays on your phone

  • The stars for each puzzle, the next puzzle number, whether you have seen the viewing guide
  • Daily picture records (stars and solve time for each day) and the stars collected each week
  • Your “Name for the ranking” — only if you set one on the ranking screen
  • Settings — Cross-eyed, Pattern width, Keep the screen on while viewing, Sound, Vibrate on correct answers
  • The maps you bought

This information is stored on your phone and never comes to the developer. If Android backup is on for your device, it is included in your own Google account backup and may move with you to a new phone (the developer cannot see this backup). It is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app’s data in Android settings.

2. Information collected by third-party services

The app uses the Google services below. Google may collect information in the process, and handles it under Google’s own policies.

2.1 Google AdMob — ads

Used to show a rewarded ad when you tap “Hint” or “Show answer”, and a full-screen ad after you tap “Next” once every three puzzles. No ad is placed on the screen where you look at the picture. Your records, the pictures you make and your name for the ranking are never included in ad requests.

Google may collect:

  • Advertising ID (AAID) — a resettable advertising identifier on your device
  • App set ID — an identifier shared by one developer’s apps on a device. It may still be used after you delete or reset your advertising ID
  • IP address and the approximate location estimated from it, device information (model, OS version), network information
  • Interactions with the app and ads, such as app launches, taps, ad impressions and clicks
  • Diagnostic information — app and SDK performance such as launch time, hang rate and energy use

Google collects and shares this information for ad delivery and measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention and security. Once you buy any map, the app shows no ads.

The app is not distributed in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK or Switzerland. Elsewhere too, if Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) reports that consent is needed, consent is asked for before any ad is requested.

2.2 Google Play Billing — maps

The app sells the Challenge map, theme maps and a bundle of every map (all one-time, permanent). Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; the app never receives, stores or sees your card number or other payment details.

The only thing the app stores is which maps you bought, and that too is kept only on your phone. After reinstalling or moving to a new phone, the app asks Google Play for your account’s purchases when it starts and when you tap “Restore purchase” in settings.

2.3 Google Play — in-app updates

Used to check whether a new version is available on the store and to offer the update. To do so, Google Play processes device metadata, the app version and the list of installed modules to decide whether an update exists and how large it is. This is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and is not passed to the developer.

3. Permissions the app requests

Every permission the release build actually declares.

PermissionWhy
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEAd requests, purchase checks, update checks (never used to make the pictures)
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDAccess to the advertising ID (AdMob)
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICSAndroid Ad Services (Privacy Sandbox) — required by AdMob
com.android.vending.BILLINGBuying maps (Google Play Billing)
WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICEBackground work of the ad SDK — declared by an Android library the ad SDK uses (WorkManager). The app itself does no work in the background
kr.co.shaile.boillang.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSIONAn internal permission used only inside the app — declared automatically by an Android library (AndroidX); other apps cannot use it

The app does not request photo, storage, camera, microphone, location or contacts permissions. It reads the tilt sensor (which needs no permission) to tell when you turn the phone sideways, but never stores or sends those readings.

4. Your choices

  • Turn off ad personalisation / reset your advertising ID — on your device, Settings → Google → Ads
  • Remove ads — buy any map and the ads go away (“Go ad-free” in the app’s settings)
  • Delete your records — uninstall the app, or clear its data in Android settings

Because the developer holds no personal information, there is no separate procedure for access, correction or deletion requests. For information held by Google, please follow Google’s policies and your account settings.

5. Children

The app is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.

6. Changes

When this policy changes, this document is updated along with its effective date. Significant changes are announced with an app update. If an online ranking that shows other players’ records is added, the information it publishes will be set out here before that update is released.
